Welcome to the newest section of my website! Entitled "Wii Wonders," this area of The Tigmo Dimension will focus on games for both the Nintendo Wii and Wii U consoles! I hope to continue the trend of top-notch, enjoyable video game reviews as the focus turns to some of the newer games on the market. But don't be fooled by the Wii/Wii U being newer, next-gen systems. These consoles are simply littered with old-school classics and have hosted the comebacks of Mega Man, Donkey Kong, and even Mario himself (with New Super Mario Bros. Wii)! I hope to review the aforementioned games as well as some of the newer games that have really utilized the wireless motion technology of Nintendo's newest consoles.
Just like the NES Nostalgia, Super NES Special, and Playstation Power areas of The Tigmo Dimension, the Wii Wonders section will focus on fun, intriguing reviews of some of the best (and perhaps not so best!) games for the Wii/Wii U platforms. In addition to detailed information, I will include a plethora of high-quality screenshots for your viewing pleasure in each and every review. At the beginning of every review, I will include an intro excerpt that pretty much summarizes my overall opinion of the game. The Overview section will give you a general idea of what the game is like and will contain a smorgasbord of information about the game. The rest of the review will deal with specific areas such as Graphics, Music, and Funfactor.
At the conclusion of each review, you can view my personal ratings to see how the game scored in six different categories. I will rate games on a classic 1 to 5 scale (the same scale that Nintendo Power used in the late 80s-early 90s) and these ratings will figure into the "Overall" score (a sum of all six scores). The Overall score should paint a very clear picture of how good the game really is and, depending on the Overall score, the game will also receive a special title.
If you want to know what I look for when rating a game and what the various titles mean, simply visit Matt's Rating System! It's actually a really cool (and original!) rating system. Alright, enough gibberish from me; enjoy the reviews!
